Sandela Cenge
Maternal-Child Community Health Worker
As a Maternal-Child Community Health Worker, Sandela plays an essential role in promoting the health and well-being of mothers and children in the community. Her responsibilities include providing education, resources, and advocacy for families, ensuring they have access to necessary healthcare services, and creating a supportive environment that fosters healthy child development.
With two years of experience in customer service within the hospitality industry, Sandela has developed strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse populations. Her background has prepared her to work effectively in a multicultural environment, where she engages with families and supports them in navigating their healthcare needs.
One of Sandela’s favorite aspects of her role at Worcester RISE is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of families. From a young age, she found joy in caring for newborns and supporting pregnant women in her neighborhood and family. At Rise Worcester, she can extend that support on a larger scale, which she finds deeply fulfilling. She values the nurturing environment at Rise, where she continues to learn and grow while sharing her knowledge and gaining insights from others.
Sandela speaks Haitian Creole, French, and English.
