Sandela Cenge

Maternal-Child Community Health Worker

As a Maternal-Child Community Health Worker, Sandela plays a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of mothers and children within the community. Her responsibilities include providing education, resources, and advocacy for families, ensuring they have access to essential healthcare services, and fostering an environment that supports healthy child development.

With two years of experience in customer service within the hospitality industry, Sandela has developed strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse populations. This background has equipped her to work effectively in a multicultural setting, engaging with families and helping them navigate their healthcare needs.

One of Sandela’s favorite aspects of her work at RISE is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on families' lives. From a young age, she found joy in caring for newborns and supporting pregnant women in her community and family. At RISE, Sandela is able to extend that support on a larger scale, which she finds deeply fulfilling. She values the nurturing environment at RISE, where she continues to grow professionally while sharing her knowledge and learning from others.

Sandela speaks English, French, and Haitian Creole.
