Diana Namumbejja Abwoye, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
Diana is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Worcester RISE for Health and a dedicated global health advocate. She serves as a Global Partner and Chair of the Board of Directors for Our Bodies Ourselves and is a distinguished Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Nurse Corps Scholar. Additionally, she contributes to global health policy as a member of the International Advisory Committee for Surrogacy 360 with the Center for Genetics and Society and serves on the Advisory Board for the Global Nursing Caucus.
Diana’s academic journey spans continents. She earned her undergraduate degree from Makerere University Business School in Kampala, Uganda, followed by studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston’s College of Science and Mathematics. She has participated in prestigious global programs, including the 2018 Emerging Global Health Leadership symposium in London, the 2024 Spring International Program at the University of Tokyo, and a summer in Palabek refugee settlement, where she explored access to and perspectives on preventive medicine.
With over a decade of experience in culturally sensitive healthcare and global public health initiatives, Diana is deeply committed to shaping global healthcare policy and advancing health equity worldwide.
